On October 17-19, 2008, Mandy Poynor took me with her to visit her old high school friend Ginger in Hillsboro, Georgia.
This is the city limit sign for Hillsboro, Georgia.
This is Hillsboro's Post Office. It's a pretty small town.
Here I am in front of the Hillsboro Fire Department. They didn't get called to any fires while we were there.
Ginger and her husband Dan actually live outside of Hillsboro on a farm. So we got back in the car and headed to the country. Reminds me of a John Denver song: "Country roads, take me home to the place I belong." I think I sang that quite well!
This is Dan and Ginger, the happy proprietors of the Born Farm.
Here's a picture of Ginger and Mandy, with the farm pond in the background.
Lazy day, just hangin' out at the pond.
This picture reminds me of another song: "Country bears and girls gettin' down on the farm". (OK, so maybe the original version said "country BOYS and girls", but it works.)
I enjoyed getting back to my roots, doing farm stuff like driving a tractor.
Me and the tractor again. It's an International.
Dan and I got to be pretty close.
OK, so we drove into Atlanta to do some sightseeing, and the girls asked if I could drive. This picture isn't my most photogenic, but I was too busy to pose.
So, the girls took over driving and we got lost! Here I am talking to Tom-Tom about how to get back on course. I call this picture, "Fred-Fred and Tom-Tom".
Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves.

Ginger and me posing at Turner Field. Everyone wants a picture with the bear!
A final parting shot of the "Home of the Braves" (next stop, Land of the Free).
